ABOUT SILVER THREADS:
銀糸 [gin-shi] these special threads from Kyoto are used in traditional Japanese embroidery of kimono obi and ceremonial clothes. The thinnest type (0.16mm) is used for Miwa Temari jewelry. Silver threads are made with real silver (Ag) using vacuum deposition, and also can be tinted to produce light golden hues.
